  • OREGON DOG RESCUE. Release a dog. We do take owner releases, however, space is always limited and we always have a waiting list for adult dogs. We are unable to take bully breeds due to insurance restrictions, but we do suggest trying Family Dogs New Life and The Oregon Humane Society.

  • Oregon Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is also a no-kill shelter, so the dogs stay at the facility until they find their families. The group was started in 2007 by Deb Bowen and Krystyna Schmidt, two women who, at the time, had 12 years of combined rescue experience.

  • Where do you get your dogs? We take dogs from local county shelters, owner releases, high-kill shelters in California, Washington and Oregon. We get many of our dogs through the non-profit START based in southern California START saves and transports over 1,000 dogs each year from high kill shelters to Oregon and Washington.
